Hi Marcie, I laughed out loud at your comment because that is what my friends and I always say about Texas, "It's just too far". Well, maybe this is the year some of us can come down in April and do our tour. Your blog on porches is great, and you are right about the cool air coming in and taking time for some r and r. I have 2 wonderful porches, but neither are screened. My Jack Russells, Lab and Brittany have free rein on the farm, and just ruin my porch cushions if I leave them out. It drives me crazy, but I don't have a solution other than take the cushions in everytime we sit out. We do have a nice sunroom, so that is where I curl up.
