Dreaming of a "white" what?

If you are from around these parts, you already know that Texas weather can change in the blink of an eye. It keeps things interesting. You are either sweating profusely or trying to break through the ice to get your car door open or watching your trampoline lift off, smash up against your potting shed due to winds you aren’t sure are straightline or tornadic or it’s so dry all the ducks in ponds are looking at the dog’s water bowl for a swim, or there is so much water that the grandkids and friends are paddling around in makeshift boats in the front yard and there is actually a current that sweeps your daughter’s wiener dog under the road in the drainage pipe (he was rescued by her father). No dogs were harmed in the writing of this post!
Now some of you in the DFW area might think what you are seeing in these pictures is a little extreme even for Texas since it was 84 degrees today. No a “northerner” didn’t come in today. These photos were taken a yr ago today by Mayron. We were supposed to be having a show at my house…..obviously that didn’t work out since you couldn’t even get out of my driveway. Although, it didn’t work out for the show it was beautiful. Mayron had never seen so much snow, so if you notice there are no marks of any kind in it. I suggested we go out and have a snowball fight and make snow angels (mayron, my daughter and me), but Mayron wouldn’t let us mess up the snow!!!
Anyway, that was then and now it’s HOT!
If you look closely in some of the photos, you can see the snowflakes coming down. They were HUGE!
And for all you northerners who are sick of snow and cold, this is for you!
Have a great day whether you are WARM or COLD!!

It’s hard to believe that was Texas, but I remember! Thank goodness no one wrote their name in the snow…Mayron would’ve killed ‘em. Debbie

We are just about to get all cold (no snow though)!!! It has been a perfect weekend here though. We even took the kids to the beach. Nights are getting cold.
I cant believe the amount of snow you had.
