I’m new to your blog and while perusing I ran across this beautiful tribute to our previous president. You were brave to do this for it is unpopular on many blogs and the heat can get mighty hot. I do want you to know that I stand shoulder to shoulder with you and voice the same sentiments.

Thank you for this beautiful post that said so much that has been on my mind. President Bush also defended Life in all its innocence. Tomorrow is the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and although I cannot be in Washington, D.C. to show my support for the sanctity of life, I will pray here at home that all the good that President Bush accomplished toward ending abortion and supporting pro-life measures will not be turned back. Thank you President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush for your dignity, class and ability to “turn the other cheek” when so many in the media and Hollywood were so cruel and unfair. This was a lovely heartfelt post, Marcie! Kudos to you for doing it. As Lillie said, whether or not one agrees, a president deserves our respect. In taking a job few would, considering the risks involved both personally and physically, it requires a special individual. It’s not an easy task or they wouldn’t age so quickly as photos evidate. I’m proud to be American yesterday, today and tomorrow!!!

Thanks for the commentary on our president. Weather you agree or disagree with his actions I believe he deserves our respect. I hope history will show he served to keep America safe as his main objective.
