My word, words have just escaped me! I just hate it when I’m at a loss for words. OH, wait, I think the words are coming back! They can be found at a brand new website (check below) that is going on line today April 6th. We ran into our friend Janet at Cole’s in Warrenton. She couldn’t wait to tell us about her Bright Idea.

Words cannot express how clever her idea is. She has used vintage type and stamped words onto approx. 4″x7″ cards. She is selling them in sets (you can, also, buy individual ones). She has sets of gift tags, post cards, and plain cards with words that are related to one topic. I think she said she has about 30 sets of different topics. As she was telling us about this my mind was spinning with ideas on ways to use these.

This is the front and back of her business card. Pretty darn cute, huh?

Next week we would like to give some lucky person a set of these cards. No, it’s not our 100th post. We’d just like to help her kick off her new venture. We haven’t come up yet with exactly how we’ll do it, but check back and we’ll let you know soon as we know. :)

BTW, go check out her site at http://www.TalkSweetTalk.com

and see what she’s doing. If you come back and leave a comment on which set you would like us to give away, we’ll give the one with the most votes!!! So, be sure and put in your preference, because you might be the lucky winner!! So, say the word and we’ll start the tally!

She is actually putting this online today, so if it’s not up and running check back. I’m sure it will be at some point today.

Here we are at Carolyn’s space at Zapp. Carolyn has been setting up at Zapp now for quite a few yrs in her little house across from Royers. She does beautiful bedding, pillows and slipcovers. She then throws in those one of kind items and WOW….you have a fabulous space.  So, pick which bed you are going to snuggle up in and then check her out at her website, Carolyn Westbrook Home. She has a very lovely site and you can, also, go to her blog from there. And if you don’t already have them you can check out her books there. When you get there let her know we sent you over. You’ll enjoy it, and now for the pics!

We starting out our pictorial with a very talented lady. This is our friend and her husband, Gina and Alan. Boy can they find fantastic stuff! Their shop is Country Garden Antiques in the design district in Dallas, Tx. You can gather info via their blog at Country Garden Antiques. They put together a wonderful booth full of fabulous things. Unfortunately Gina went home not feeling well, but left it in her husband Alan’s capable hands! Hope you are better Gina. We all missed you. Check them out when in the DFW area. It’s well worth your time!

Mayron and I got back from Warrenton/Round Top Tuesday nite and we certainly enjoyed our trip. There is so much going on down there and such great merchandise it’s hard to describe! That’s not to mention the incredible people involved in all this. Shoppers and vendors alike are so much fun. We ran into many friends, acquaintances, clients, bloggers, shop owners and just all around talented people. You see absolutely wonderful booths….some are beautiful, some quirky, some fun, some garden, some industrial, some mostly architectural, the ones with great clothes and “gotta have” jewelry, and those that are any combination of the above. Just to name a few of some of the folks we know….Mark Dooley’s field “Excess” with Lanny and Lonny, Pieces of the Past, John Petty, Mark’s own space, then at Zapp is Country Garden, Garden Antqs, Talking Trash , Carolyn Westbrook Home, & Richard’s space. We saw Curious Goods, Seedbox Antiques, The Veranda, J Hill Design, Time Worn Interiors, Sweet Pea, French Vanilla, Willow Nest, Georgia and Buddy, Rubbish, Junk Gypsy, Fluff and I’m sure I’m forgetting someone. The point is there are so many people down there and that makes for an almost endless selection of items.  I’m only naming those we know, so it doesn’t even touch the numbers of vendors. We had quite a variety of weather, too! Good old Texas! From sunny and windy (I mean really windy), to overcast and humid, to sunny and beautiful (just the right temperature), to rainy and cold. And to think we were only down there 4 days!! I understand there were a few more elements thrown in the mix before we even got there!

In the next couple days I will be posting some pics we took down there. I will, also, try to show a little of the crazy and quirky side of this fantastic show. I know when all these other bloggers get back there will be tons of pics to peruse. See you tomorrow!
