It’s been birthday time at my house….3 grandkids and 1 son-in-law all within 15 days! We’ve had a big party and lots of fun and the gang from New Mexico is heading back early in the morning. Now I need to get back to more pics from our trip to Warrenton. This next group is from Hayley’s space in beautiful downtown Warrenton. She always puts together a very unique booth with a mixture of vintage, accessories, jewelry and clothing, etc. Take a look.

This bike looks like it’s on the ground, but it’s actually hanging from the rafters above an awning!

We thought this was such a clever way to display these wonderful chairs!! I wonder who tied all the knots. I can tie my shoes….that’s why I use bungee cords. :( When you are in the area make sure you check out "Cottage Gatherings" in LaGrange, Tx. Haley’s store is located at 1520 N. Washington, LaGrange, Tx. Be sure and stop in. As you can see, you won’t be disappointed!

Everyone needs to check out this new link we’ve added. The photogragher, Cathy, takes wonderful photographs. They are not your sit in front of fake mountains pictures. Her sister, Val, is a long time friend and she said her sis was very good. Well, Val is right! So, check her out and call her up.

One of the coolest places to go in Warrenton is the Coles Antique Show….literally! It’s the only building I know there that is actually air-conditioned! And in that building is Janet’s booth. She has more words than anyone we know! Janet sells vintage flashcards. If you are old enough, remember the ones we used to use in school (maybe they still do). She has hundreds of words and numbers. What fun it is to come up with sayings or phrases that relate to something in your life, or a loved one or friends life. We’ve known Janet and her sister Mo for several, several years. They are both very creative and fun to hang around. Check out their website rubbish. Their brother is on there, too. I’m sorry we don’t have any pics of Mo’s space at Marburger. Her booth was pretty full when we saw her and we didn’t want to get in the way.

As you can see, this is a fun place with not only "words", but she has lots of fun collections, etc.

We’re back!! We had a great trip. The weather, altho warm in the afternoon, was not as hot as usual this time of year. Yea! We saw lots of cool stuff, bought some of it. Got to see lots of folks we don’t see all the time. Will begin posting some pics we took in the order we took them. It’ll probably take a few days to get them all online, but I think you will enjoy seeing some of the fab displays and merchandise. Sorry we didn’t get even more photos. Some were busy when we were in their booth and sometimes we just got distracted…but here is the beginning of what we did manage to snap.

iron sphere meloney

This is quite large. Brian of Seedbox Antiques makes these and what a fab job he does. His very creative and talented wife, Meloney, did the arrangement. This piece happened to be sold, but we did manage to buy some really terrific stuff that wasn’t yet. They are both very good at finding some unusual things and Meloney has quite the knack for putting it all together. They are from Missouri and come down to Texas to show. Keep an eye out for them!
